How this check works

This is a curated database, not an AI answer engine. Checked requirements are compared with your broad setup through explicit rules.

  1. Choose My Korea Setup.
  2. Search for a service or pick a popular check.
  3. Review sign-up, verification, payment, and core-use stages.
  4. Confirm the source before a time-sensitive payment or booking.

Sources and freshness policy

Every service needs a named HTTPS source, publisher, source type, exact Last checked date, and editorial review window.

Stale, incomplete, or unsupported records become Needs rechecking. Last checked dates are never advanced automatically.

Reality Check FAQ

Why is a Korean phone number sometimes not enough?

Receiving an SMS and completing Korean mobile identity verification are different steps. Some services require the subscription identity and residence record to match.

Does a tourist eSIM count as identity verification?

Not automatically. An eSIM may receive messages, but this check keeps SMS access separate from a Korean number verified under your identity.

How current are these checks?

Each result shows the exact Last checked date and its review status. Once a record reaches its review window, the verdict changes to Needs rechecking.
